Memcached in Cloud Hosting
Memcached is available as an optional upgrade with each cloud hosting package that we’re offering and in case you wish to use it for any script-driven Internet site that you host on our avant-garde cloud platform, you will be able to add it in a couple of easy steps via your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. During the process, you will be offered the option to upgrade two separate features – the instances and the memory. The first one has to do with the number of the websites that can use the Memcached content caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several Internet sites, you can get a number of instances. The second one has to do with the total amount of memory that the system will be permitted to use in order to cache data, so for plenty of websites (or for one single large-size site), you’d better get more memory for better results. The memory is offered in increments of 16 megabytes and more memory can be added every time you need it. With the Memcached caching system, each script-powered website hosted on our servers will load blazing-fast.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you decide to host your websites in a semi-dedicated server account, you’ll be able to take advantage of Memcached effortlessly, as the distributed memory object caching platform’s activation takes a few clicks of the mouse from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The extension that it requires is already installed on our semi-dedicated servers, so you can begin using Memcached the moment you add it to your account. You will be able to select how many sites can use it and how much information it will cache, i.e. there’re two separate features that can be upgraded – the instances and the system memory. You can get more of both, so if one of your websites becomes very busy, for instance, you can always add more memory to it. Our system is unbelievably flexible in this regard and we do not bind a given number of instances to a pre-defined amount of system memory. You can employ Memcached to improve the loading speed of any script-powered website, including those based on widely used web applications, such as Joomla™ or WordPress.
Memcached in VPS Servers
When you buy a VPS server from us, you’ll be able to use Memcached at no additional charge, as the distributed memory caching platform is available with all VPSs ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. Even if you have busy Internet sites, you can boost their overall performance without any effort and the lowered load on the VPS will enable you to keep your current VPS hosting package instead of upgrading to a more powerful one. The amount of system memory that Memcached can use to store information depends on the package that you are using, but even with a lower-end one, you’ll get no less than several hundred MB, which is significantly more than what you’d get with a shared hosting package, so the website performance boost will be great. You can take advantage of the Memcached platform with any database-powered app, irrespective of whether you have created it yourself or you’re using a ready-to-use one such as WordPress, OpenCart or Joomla™.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached comes for free with all dedicated web hosting plans offered by us and the one and only requirement is that the server must be ordered with the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. You can use the content caching system for any database-driven website, including those that are based on widely used software apps – for example, a WordPress online journal or a Joomla™-powered community website. Each dedicated machine is tied to a specific amount of system memory that the Memcached caching system can use, but the minimum you’ll get is 3 gigabytes, which is quite enough to enhance the loading speed of very large websites considerably, as this very memory will be dedicated to storing the cached data. The system will begin storing content the moment it is enabled, so shortly thereafter, you will note the optimized performance of your sites and the decreased load on the dedicated machine. Many Internet sites use the Memcached system to boost their efficacy, including popular ones like Wikipedia and Reddit.
