A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be quite easy in case you have a cloud hosting plan with our company. You can activate the feature through our powerful, albeit simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer the shared hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve created enumerated in alphabetical order and to the right of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly let you know whether a certain mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a given domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you want. If there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you’ll get a warning notification from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not want the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
